The schedule and list of events for Techstars Startup Week Lincoln is set, with events beginning on Monday, October 25th and continuing through Friday, October 29th.  

After an all-online Startup Week in 2020, Startup Week 2021 will present a mix of in-person and online events, featuring a five-day celebration of the startup community in Lincoln that builds momentum and opportunity around entrepreneurship. 

“This year, we are focused on bringing back opportunities for connections and collisions in the startup community,” says Christina Oldfather, Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship for the Lincoln Partnership for Economic Development. “This includes in person events, as well as a variety of online events and something for everyone at all stages of business.”

The programming for Startup Week events will include a kickoff party on Monday, a founders' summit and the grand finale of the Turbine Flats Martini Competition. Virtual opportunities to participate include a showcase from The Combine Food and Ag Tech program and a live recording of the Inside Outside podcast Q&A with Dave Parker, author of Trajectory Startup. There are many other free educational events and workshops to take advantage of throughout the week, including a Startup 101 workshop, Mastermind Groups at Arrive Coworking and a panel on the funding options and strategies.

Oldfather adds that the option of both in-person and online events will continue to offer increased participation to maximize the experiences for Startup Week attendees.

“After doing a 100% virtual Startup Week last year, we heard from several people that it removed barriers and allowed them to participate and engage in events when they otherwise wouldn’t have been able to due to work, schedules, family, travel, etc.,” Oldfather notes. 

“This influenced our decision to create in person and hybrid opportunities this year, to get the best of both worlds.”
