The award was bestowed specifically for the organization’s work in the Talent Development and Retention category. Members of the LPED team will be acknowledged and honored at the IEDC 2024 Annual Conference in Denver, CO, September 15-18.

The Lincoln Chamber of Commerce, Silicon Prairie News, and Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce are thrilled to announce a groundbreaking collaboration to host the inaugural Silicon Prairie Startup Week later this year. This regional event, set to take place the week of November 11, 2024, aims to bring together innovators, entrepreneurs and business leaders to celebrate and foster the thriving startup ecosystem in the Silicon Prairie region with events in Lincoln, Omaha, Ashland and Council Bluffs.

Google has announced plans to build a data center in Lincoln, its third in the state, continuing to strengthen the Omaha-Lincoln metropolitan areas as hubs for innovation and technology. The announcement was made with U.S. Senator Deb Fischer and Congressman Mike Flood at the company’s Papillion data center campus on Tuesday morning along with city officials from Lincoln, Omaha and Papillion.
